Florida Keys family fun fishing nets a bounty of delicious yellowtail snapper

Captain’s Blog – June 15, 2010 – Marathon Florida Keys – Mom catches monster snapper in day of Florida Keys reef fishing.

Three generations of the Scott family, from Altamonte Springs FL, spent a day fishing the reef with SeaSquared Charters.

As so often happens, the girl showed the boys what Florida Keys fishing is all about!  Mom Teresa Scott caught a beautiful 25-inch yellowtail snapper.

The group caught a whole bunch of yellowtails to enjoy for lunch and dinner during the rest of they stay at Coco Plum Beach and Tennis Club

They also tagged and released a cobia for the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Research project.  It’s always a treat to get your tag report back somewhere down the road to find out where that cobia ended up and how big it got.
