Florida Keys snapper and grouper for the Hall family from Orange Park FL

Florida Keys Fishing Report – Captain Chris Johnson, SeaSquared Charters – July 7, 2010

The Halls, from Orange Park FL, returned to the Florida Keys  for their family vacation and included a fishing trip with SeaSquared Charters.

We set off for the reef to get in on the great grouper and snapper bite.  With rods bent non-stop, the group put fish after fish in the boat.  Despite having her foot in a walking cast, 13-year-old Carley really held her own!

We returned to the dock with a bunch of fat mangrove snapper to 5 pounds, yellowtail snapper up to 26 inches and a 12-pound black grouper.  The highlight of the day was one of the prettiest fish ever to make its way onto the SeaSquared – a 7-pound yellowfin grouper.

As with most of the groups who fish with SeaSquared Charters, the Hall family planned to have their catch cooked at one of Marathon’s fine restaurants.
