Florida Keys snapper fishing for Long Islanders

Florida Keys Fishing Report – Captain Chris Johnson, SeaSquared Charters – July 8, 2010.

Chuck and Lily Perrone returned to get in on the hot reef fishing with SeaSquared Charters.

I always enjoy having a fellow charter captain on the SeaSquared.  Chuck has put in a lot of years fishing in Long Island so he and I share a passion for fishing in the northeast for tuna, stripers and more.

But he and Lily really love their Florida Keys fishing and come down a few times a year.  This time I took them to the reef and they caught their limit of snapper – yellowtails to 24 inches and mangroves to 5 pounds.  They also caught a couple of short grouper which they released until next time.
