The Wagner clan, and friend Chase Uhl, celebrated the end of another school year with a weekend getaway to Marathon Florida Keys.
They loaded up their kayaks and fishing gear and headed for Valhalla Beach Resort in Marathon. This little gem is nestled on the beach between Grassy Key and Coco Plum, near Curry Hammock State Park.
They rented a boat and did a lot of fishing on their own, but topped off the weekend with a half day aboard the SeaSquared before they headed back to Palm Beach Gardens.
The crew consisted of Jody and Jerry Wagner, their boys, Kyle and Dylan, and family friend, Chase Uhl.
We hit the reef and the rods were bending right off the bat. The gang put together a great catch of 20 to 25 yellowtail snapper, an eight-pound mutton snapper and a good size red grouper.
When we got back to the dock, Jody was stunned to learn that not only do they keep all their fish, but I clean them too! So, they kicked back and relaxed while I turned their catch into bags and bags of deliciousness.
