Marathon Florida Keys Fishing Report – July 1, 2010 – Teri and John Jordan return for some awesome snapper and grouper fishing on the reef.
The Jordans visit the Florida Keys from their home in Manhattan IL several times a year. They often stay at Tranquility Bay Resort, as they did this trip, and they always fish with SeaSquared Charters.
Teri and John are excellent anglers and especially love the challenge of bottom fishing. Conditions were a little too bumpy to drop for mutton snapper, but we had a great day on the reef catching all sorts of other species.
They caught their limit of black grouper, including one 24-pounder, 5 hefty mangrove snapper, a 16-inch rock hind and a slew of yellowtail snapper. Teri now holds the 2010 record for the largest yellowtail caught on the SeaSquared with her fat 26-incher.
See you next time, Teri & John!
