Biggest yellowtail snapper of 2011

Jerry and Pepe Kirby, from Fort Pierce, brought their dogs and their camper trailer to Grassy Key RV Park for a long weekend of F&F – fun and fishing.

They were scheduled for a half day afternoon trip to target snapper and grouper on the reef.  The bite was so good, the pair decided they had plenty of fish after just three hours, so we headed back to the dock.

They caught a 10-pound and a 12-pound black grouper along with some yellowtail snapper.  The highlight of the day for Pepe was the 26-inch flag yellowtail she caught – the biggest ‘tail on the SeaSquared so far for 2011!

Pepe was so thrilled with her snapper, she gave it a kiss!
