Florida Keys cobia, grouper, yellowtail snapper for father-son anglers

Captain’s Blog – May 30, 2010 – Scott Kazdan treated his teenage son, Marc, to some Florida Keys fishing  as reward for the great job he did in school this year.

Weston FL residents, the Kazdan family spent Memorial Day weekend at their home on Coco Plum Beach.  Scott and Marc took a break from the rest of the gang for some father-son fishing.

They’ve done a lot of fishing on their own in the Keys, but I promised I’d put them on some of the biggest fish they’ve ever seen.  And, they were not disappointed.

We hit the reef and had a tough time making the fishing last the full 4 hours of the charter.  It was that good.

Scott and Marc caught a limit of 18- to 20-inch yellowtail snapper.  They dropped to the bottom twice and brought back 2 black grouper.  And, they jigged up a nice cobia to round out the catch.

I always enjoy welcoming new families on the SeaSquared.  It’s a blast to see them come back again and again.

We’re just entering the summer season where we see lots of families on the SeaSquared and we love it!
