You know it’s good fishing on the reef when ….
you have to double up the yellowtails on the fish rack!
Chris DeSantis and his sons, Matthew, Michael and Daniel, from Marco Island FL, put together a great snapper haul in a very short time.
We headed out with the intention of doing some dolphin fishing, but found the conditions on the far side of the reef a little too sporty. So, we stayed on the reef instead and the guys really put the hurt on the snapper.
In about two hours they caught 37 yellowtail in the 13- to 15-inch class plus three big mangroves.
With their limit of snapper in the box, we finished off the morning with some fun fishing for barracuda at the Seven Mile Bridge.
